Consciousness and Mindful Leadership in a Multicultural Workplace

Dr. Dan Israel joins ITC Director and program moderator Henry N. Mooney in San Diego, California.

As international migration grows producing an estimated 70 million displaced people this year, our communities around the world are becoming more multicultural and the incidence of conflict has inevitably increased at all levels. Religious, political, racial and economic discourse have become more aggressive than never before as tolerance and middle grounds of opinion have given way to anger and lack of respect for the human condition, the pursuit of peaceful coexistence and the higher values of improved welfare and progress for all. In this environment without historical precedent, leaders must develop a higher level of responsibility and practice mindfulness to protect basic civil rights and develop tolerance so that we can aspire to a sustainable future where we all contribute with the best of what we each have, promoting open collaboration rather than isolationism. This exciting videoconference will present strategies to manage diverse values, cultures, and religions applying mindfulness and constructive thinking as a new approach to resolving conflict and preventing violence at all levels. The exceptional speaker will present his views on the changing multicultural workplace and the crucial importance of women participation and leadership.
