Health and the Environment: Productive Resources with Shared Responsibility

Dr. Peter Anderson joins ITC program moderator Dr. Miguel Cardenas Jr. in San Diego, California.

Health and the environment are fragile resources we must all protect in our shared responsibility with planet Earth. At the same time, they can be the most strategic productive resources we can develop and sustain in our globalized society. Our organizations, communities and nations must now place sustainability at the top of all our priorities. Synchronizing our development and growth strategies to this reality requires a new mindset and commitment particularly in lieu of our uncertain world. The key to managing health and the environment with a sustainable framework is shared responsibility. The global health risks and the fragile natural cycles of our environment are dimensions we must all respect in our development plans, but this does not mean we cannot create productive business and financial value through them. The environmental industry today is a major industry worldwide, propelled by new technologies and systems that are increasingly essential to modern living, such as renewable energy. This exciting videoconference will present an overview of the health and environmental issues we face today in society, and the concept of sustainability as a mandate for all organizations and communities that aspire to productive success and achievement. The distinguished invited speaker will present our realities of climate change and global warming, the many resulting health challenges that are preventable with more education and social awareness, and the current struggle for political and constitutional sustainability around the world to ensure basic human rights for all.
